Kids Ethnic Wear Girls

Girls love to dress up in lehnga choli for every occasion. The love for flowing fabrics starts at an early age. Popular fabrics this year are chanderi, silk, and organza. An elastic waistband makes it easy for the lehenga to be worn around the waist And an attached dupatta makes it stay in place. For the younger ones go light on the flare and opt for A-line or pleated. The dupatta can also be done away with and instead jackets or Indo western tops can be an option. For the older girls, the dupatta can be separate but not very wide. Various necklines and sleeve cuts can be used.

If the little ones have their mind stuck on Salwar suits, then a lot can be done with those too. Salwar suit designs have evolved and modernized as well. The length of the kurta is a personal preference and the bottom will depend on that. But again it’s important to keep in mind that the waistband for whatever kind of salwar you are opting for is elasticated. The bottoms can be wide (palazzo style), narrow (cigarette pants), or dhoti style. A cape over a crop top and palazzos can also be a smart option. Anarkalis like a long gown can also be chosen for the older girls.

Boys love their Kurta Pajamas and achkans, with or without a Nehru jacket. There has been a huge change in the styling and silhouettes of kurtas which have greatly evolved in their cuts, neckline, and lengths. Nehru collar is the staple favorite. Cotton or cotton silk are the fabrics mostly used.
